As some of you may know (and by some I mean the 4 people that read this blog, thank you Scott’s grandma) I have been in talks with a news station up in Seattle WA for a position doing mostly what I do now. I am sure that most of you are aware of my love for Vancouver, BC and even larger love for the northwest. So it came to no surprise that I was offered the position today as a Photo Journalist at KCPQ Channel 13 FOX in Seattle Washington. I see it as another stepping stone to Vancouver, not to mention an easy jump to that stone so that i can hang out for a while. Also the appeal of it taking me 2 hours in a car instead of a 3 hour $300 plane ticket.
So as I had hoped, I am not leaving for Japan unemployed. The way that I have set this up is flying back into PHX on April 16th; pack my things on the 17th; drive west and north the 18th, 19th and hopefully 20th; take a day to rest and head in for paperwork and my I.D. card on that Monday. Now I am not completely sure that I have the day’s right but the time frame is correct.
So here we go, leaving for Japan and when I return, I'm heading home to the Northwest. Rain, fresh air and trees here I come.
All I have to do now is pass the background check and drug test. Not sure if I should be worried or not...

btw chad did the most epic line last night when getting sound from DPS "So what do you want to tell the illegal aliens about driving in arizona" followed by a no comment from DPS and then the money bite "Well if theyd stay in mexico this wouldnt happen right"
